A Girl is a Gun is a vegan vintage retail store in New Orleans, LA. The company’s mission is to promote women as strong and powerful weapons against the world, and most of their clothing lines are women-owned. A Girl is a Gun was also founded with strong vegan values, which determine everything from the materials used for clothes to the movies and music playing in the store. The style of the boutique is retro-inspired but modernized, and all the products are new—not consigned.
Building on the strong design elements the company already had in place, Emily created a dynamic logo, with bold typography and color palettes. She updated their letterhead system and packaging. Emily also designed an intriguing advertising campaign with a series of print ads, as well as environmental, that incorporated social media calls-to-action.
